More Info

Rock ‘n’ Roll singer Olly Williams takes to the Brunswick Stage for a second time to deliver a high energy set that epitomises the sounds of Golden Age America. Also performing on the night are Aperture, a red-hot, up and coming pop-punk band and Vanessa Andrea, a soul singer with a voice larger than life. Expect Olly and his band to get you up and dancing with a repertoire consisting of fiery rock ‘n’ roll classics blended with original material, including a multitude of Rockabilly and Dark Wave tracks that Olly wrote for his 2024 album Dubious Accord.

Vanessa Andrea:

Vanessa Andrea is a soul singer influenced by legends of the genre such as Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Gladys Knight. For over four years, Vanessa was lead singer of the band Burlington Underground and has performed as a solo artist at music events in Falmouth, Bath and Brighton. In 2014 she was also involved in a collaborative songwriting project in association with Real World Studios. She is delighted to be back to support Olly Williams, this time opening the show with a powerful repertoire of soul classics.

Olly Williams

Olly Williams is a rock ‘n’ roll singer from Wiltshire. Starting out as a busker on the streets of Bath, he released his first single ‘Complicated Lady’ in 2019. Olly spent the following five years writing and recording music while working as a history teacher. During this time, he released an EP titled ‘Raking Fire’ and performed twice at the Porthcawl Elvis Festival in South Wales, getting featured on The Times newspaper’s website.

In April 2024, Olly released his debut album ‘Dubious Accord’, a mixture of rockabilly and dark wave influenced by the music of artists such as Nick Cave, Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison. Since 2021, Olly has performed gigs in London and along the south coast. His combination of heavy vocals, punchy rhythms and dramatic rock songs centred on the themes of deceit and betrayal never fail to get audiences up and dancing.
