Brighton's best ska bandHungry for a party? Look
no further than the scrumptious Los
Albertos, a six-piece ska sensation who will more than satisfy your
appetite with foot-stomping, feel-good sounds; think Madness, the Clash
and Santana. Two saxophones, a trumpet, guitar, drums, bass, cheeky lyrics
and more energy than an Olympic sprint team Los Albertos have a wicked
sense of fun and can be very tongue-in-cheek. This was a superb show by a
local band that effortlessly represent this city's bohemian vibe.

Mornington Locket 8:00 £7

Mornington Lockett
is probably best known for his work with Ronnie Scott and he still works
with Ronnie's drummer, Martin Drew, in a joint venture: "Celebrating
The Jazz Couriers", a tribute to Ronnie Scott and Tubby Hayes. The
band won Best Small Group in the 2002 British Jazz Awards.

WHAT THE PRESS SAY
 |
"The best of both
worlds: a traditional community boozer with a fireplace and a music venue
with a high-tech sound system. Varied programming...known for its
live jazz."
Time Out - May 2009 |
"The Brunswick pub has built a
reputation for great live music and this year's (fringe) offerings include roots
reggae group The Resonators and Brighton favourites
The Curst Sons and
Los
Albertos.....
"The Hive Theater tent at The Brunswick stages Sarah Kane's acclaimed 4.48
Psychosis.....
And at The Brunswick .. The Blues
Corporation, the legendary Brighton based nine-piece blues and soul
band makes one of it's rare appearances. Frequently a sellout so arrive
early or book ahead to avoid missing out.....
What would Helen Mirren do? Long-term supermarket cashier Susan is finally
selected for promotion. But on her training course at the big store in
Wigan, un unlikely role model pushes Susan towards much bigger changes...The
Hive @ The Brunswick"
